Why horses?

What can you learn from a horse ? Horses will help you recognize opportunities for learning about yourself. Horses provide honest, instant feedback when we work with them. They don't judge, they don't over-think but they do challenge our behavior and leadership abilities.
They are flight animals and depend on their awareness to their surroundings for their survival. They can discern between calm and anxiety. They rely on the hierarchy of the herd. The rules are clear and they all have a role to play. When we work with them, we have to find our place in their team. They seek a confident leader who communicates clearly and consistently. But most of all they are simple : they react to external stimulus, they react to us. Trained EAL facilitators can help you understand what is happening within the horse - people team and apply the learning outside of the arena.

The designer of these amazing programs took all that’s been researched on how human beings learn, and all the research that’s been done on wild horses, and brought the two together to create experiential learning programs. These programs are designed to help human beings learn and understand the changes that they need to make within themselves. Equine Assisted Learning works, because it's not the people that are the teachers, it's the horses!
